IT. That story haunts me in the best of ways. Not to mention reading it makes you feel every human emotion at some point in the book.

I'd have to agree with several others on here. IT is probably my favorite. I also really really love The Lord of The Rings triolgy and The Hobbit. The Stand is way up there too, as are Bag of Bones and Duma Key. Oh yeah, and Lisey's Story.
Full Dark, No Stars by Mr. King, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks.
me too I read 1984 several times and planning to read it again if my schedules allowed it
Gone With The Wind - Margaret Mitchell
The Hobbit - J. R. R. Tolkien
North and South - Eliabeth C. Gaskell ( you asked !)
The unfinished Misery book - Paul Sheldon.![]()
1984, Skeleton Crew, Animal Farm, Elmer Gantry, It Cant Happen Here, Different Season and many more that I should recall
Another best novel written by Aldous Huxley highly recommended to all

Any one of King's stories is a favorite. Looked on my page on this other site where you can keep track of what you've read & whatnot...have a"favorites" shelf there, 81 titles on that shelf...and a random selection brings up The Brothers Karamazov, The Woman Chaser (Charles Willeford, a great story-teller check him out), Ray (Barry Hannah), Winter's Bone (Daniel Woodrell), Scar Lover (Harry Crews), The Winter Queen (Boris Akunin), The Fifth Child (Doris Lessing), East of Eden (Steinbeck), Some Came Running (James Jones) & Spooner (Pete Dexter).
The only book I read here is Perfume which I thought was amazing. I should check those others out.
