NOT ENOUGH TIME!

Greetings fans! Does anyone feel like they never have enough time to finish a piece? I work throughout the week 7am to 5pm, dedicate most of the evening to working out and the remaining fraction of time left is usually spent with the woman in my life. I have been out of college for two years now with a degree in English and have a hard time sitting down and getting in the grove. Does anyone have any good writing habits they have found effective? Joining this site is really my first approach (as I sit here at work).

1. Get a cheap laptop or portable word processor.
2. Write during your lunch break.

I wrote a novel manuscript in about 4 months this way, in 35-minute daily chunks.

Maybe cut down a bit on your working out at the gym and dedicate that extra time to writing?
Your "writing muscles" need a constant workout as well if you want to devleope them.

Agreed--do you want to be a writer or a body-builder? Of course, if you need the gym as a form of physical therapy following an injury or an illness, that's another matter.
