Default fan of the work, Fan of the artist ...

    I just realized some thing::

I really like an author named David Foster Wallace .
But I am not a fan of his work. This might seem
like a ridiculous thing to say; but its true.

I saw David F.W. on the Charlie Rose show many ,
many years ago. I had no idea who he was But
I listened to the interview and I just loved the guy.

He was a really cool Library-geek. He was just a
really interesting, thoughtful, Intriguing young writer.
I loved "him" so I went and got his book "Infinite Jest"
. I did not like the book,I didnt like the other stuff he
wrote either. It was (is) truly ponderous . He even
wrote an article that was ponderous . It was called
"Consider the Lobster " . The foot notes
were almost as long as the article itself. The foot notes
for Infinite Jest are 8 pages long and some of the
    foot notes have foot notes.
    ...I am not a fan ...

I am a big fan of David Foster Wallace even though
Im not a fan of his work.

With Mr. King I am a fan of both him and his writing.
I love Him,his attitudes, beliefs , politics, most
everything about him . Everything Iv heard,
from him and about him (from Real-life) confirms
That he is a super cool guy (IMHO) /

and I am also a fan of his work. I make a
distinction between the two and Mr. King gets
a big thumbs up on both counts !

...sadly, Mr. Wallace apparently felt life was too "ponderous" as he took his own in 2008...
