So I just got back from Florida, I mentioned it before I left but I guess the board got all screwy, anyway I went down to Sarasota, Venice, Nokomis, Siesta Key, Lido Key, St. Armand's Key, Longboat Key, and yes, Casey Key. It was a great vacation but the highlight was seeing SK's Florida house and walking the beach of Casey Key, it really gave me a connection to Duma Key that I didn't have before. I was only able to get a picture of the back of his house and it doesn't show much at all but I know what it is a picture of and that is enough.
Yeah, I had a great time and you know, I had no intention of trying to get a look at his house but by chance one of the people I went with had a friend who lived in Venice and had a boat, then took us on a ride over the Intracoastal Waterway and before I knew where I was he was saying "over there is Stephen King's house" and pulling up to a beach on Casey Key. Funny how things work out sometimes.
