Keep warm up there. You all DO know it snows a lot in winter there, right? Just saying, maybe you forgot how much it sucks.

Hopefully, I will survive the forecast here:

    Today: Hi 75 Lo 57
    Saturday: Hi 75 Lo 57
    Sunday: Hi 75 Lo 59
    Monday: Hi 81 Lo 57
    Tuesday: Hi 81 Lo 61

    It's brutal.

Mod, surely Steve has convinced you by now? Florida is awesome. The summer is like winter here. You just stay inside a lot. Hurricanes? Meh, no big deal really. The other 6 months is like it is right now, or even nicer. Humidity is low, it rarely rains. But enjoy being a popsicle!

There is so much concrete already in the ground now from post holes, it’s getting hard to find a place to put the mailbox anymore. Not all were because of drunks -- just most, and I always help them out if they are decent enough to stop. One was a marine trying to get to base in time to make his deployment to the middle east. After hitting the slopes and finding an icy patch in front of my house he took out my mailbox he then hit a telephone pole. I told him not to worry about it and helped him to get his dented fender away from the tire so he could make it to base in time and not get in trouble. Another was a school teacher who going back to Maryland after skiing. She hit a deer and took my mailbox out. She was visibly shaken, quite upset, and an animal rights crusader. I invited her in to stay warm until she could make other arrangements, called her insurance company for her, and told her I would take care of the deer so it’s loss would go to feed someone. Too dang freekin’ soft for my own good at times I guess.

My ex-husband lives in Florida. Need I say more? I'll stick to the dry heat in Arizona for winters and back to Maine in the summer when I need a little more humidity. Only 4 more years to wait.

I see through all of that hurricane and humidity talk now. You don't like the pests in Florida.

Had my mother's words ringing in my head--if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

So far, just a dusting. How's Maine doing so far Ms. Mod?
