The Hitchhiker

Does anyone know if The Hitchhiker, one of the stories in Creepshow II, has ever come out in print? I have scoured collections with no results.

It's not even clear that the story has ever been written down other than in Romero's screenplay.

I really enjoyed the HitchHiker in Creepshow 2, its a pity that there wasnt a SK short story,
I thought it was really funny at times....."Thanks for the ride lady!" haha

Really liked The Hitchhiker, though it definitely had its moments when I nearly jumped out of my seat everytime the poor guy kept popping up and scaring the female driver..!
