Pet Semetary is the first SK book I read, and it is my favorite of his. I find that I enjoy it more with each read, and it never fails to give me a chill. The first time I read it, I could not put it down and it was then I knew that I had found my new favorite author.
Having had time to let the story sink in... I still put this as one of the very best reads from SK. When I read the last page I really felt like I had been through something. I enjoyed the challenge of pressing on until the conclusion, even if some scenes were uncomfortable to read. It put me out of my comfort zone at times, and I think that's what was great about it.
I finished Pet Semetary just recently myself, and it was one that I wasnt really expecting too much off, but it turned out to be a fantastic novel, great characters, great plot, really well told by SK... I have the movie now too, so Im gonna watch that and hope it is as good as the novel...the ending of the novel was really great, very creepy way to end it
