Default Is writing in the King family blood?

A question that probably can't have a definite answer: do you think Stephen and Tabitha's sons were inspired to try being writers because their parents are writers, or is there something in the DNA that makes them naturally talented writers? Or a bit of both?

I think somtimes careers just run in families because we are so influenced but what our parents do. Doctor's kids go into medicine, always seems to be several generations of firemen, police officers etc.

King's dad tried writing (I think this info is in Danse Macabre). Stephen found a few of his attempts in a trunk many years after Donald King had left the family.
I believe certain preferences and inert abilities can be passed down. My mom was more outgoing than my dad. She sang in the choir and solos at church. My brother is musically talented and outgoing. That gene skipped me. My dad was soft-spoken, and in that respect I take after him.
I've heard of cases where twins or siblings separated at young ages grow up to have similar careers and hobbies.
With King's children, it certainly didn't hurt to be raised by two authors, though.

Oh, I'm sure. It's why actors' kids act.
