Possible different ending in the comic books? Spoilers =)

In the books, he doesn't have the Horn of Eld until he returns to the desert at the very end. In the comic books, he has the horn. Does this mean when they finish the comic books, the cycle will be broken and Roland will finally see what's in the top floor? Ooooo
