Default A question about the ending (SPOILERS)

I know there is threads like this, so I'm sorry. I don't understand how the forum works in regards to necroing. Now onto my issues with the ending. If The Dark Tower inhabits a keystone world where the time only flows one way, how does Roland start his journey again? It doesn't feel like an ending to me. Because nothing ends. One of you can probably give me an answer to my question. Until then I'll just say I was let down.
Side-note: the fourth book is my favorite and in my eyes the best. Anyone with me?

I really enjoyed the story about Roland. All of it. Even the parts that disagree w/some folk. I guess I didn't...what's the word...focus?...key in on?...read?...I didn't notice the business w/the keystone world as much as many readers do. But thinking about it now, w/your question, I try to recall if people passed to and from worlds, all worlds, keystone included. That...whatever it is...is behind the fog of memory. I get what you're saying, Slark, and I can understand the argument, but I simply do not know the answer. And it's hard to call a favorite. There are scenes in each one of the 7-8-9, if you count the revised Gunslinger etc, that are a joy to read. I'm reminded of this song I heard and maybe sung years back...something about the song never stops, just the singer....the dream never dies, just the dreamer...so come everyone and sing along. Not much help, I realize.

I think the Keystone world, is just that particular 'America'. He's still able to draw

Eddie, Odetta, and Jake from various different times in American history, because they're not from Keystone world
    . And the door he

walked through at the top of the tower, might just have special abilities. Too bad it didn't drop him off elsewhere in his history, eh?

I was recently thinking about his next

journey through, and where will the 'Keystone Earth' be in time... If it'll still be the same as the story we read, or if it only goes in one direction. Maybe it'll be 2013 next time he gets there...?

I might be completely wrong or it might genuinely be contradictory. Maybe a scholar can clarify for us all.

I guess it's left open for interpretation. There are different 'levels' of the tower. In the Keystone world, the Tower is represented by a rose. In Roland's world, it's the Dark Tower.
