    Default Facebook Login?

I see that we can log in to the SKMB through FB now. It give us the option of "Who can see posts this app makes for you on your Facebook timeline:'"

What does that mean? Will everything we post here go on our FB timeline? Or will we have the option after each post? Will we get the option each time we log on, or is it something that is automatic once we've chosen it?

Normally I'd throw caution to the wind and just do it, but I do a lot of my posting from my phone now (both here and FB, easier with the baby) and I don't want to have to try to dink around between the two sorting out what is OK on my timeline, and what my aunts and uncles and homeschooling friends probably don't care about... So, it's really not anyone's problem but my own, but I'd thought I'd ask in case someone's already sorted it all out.

    Thanks!

Good question, Jen. Wish I knew the answer. I'd thought it was so that people didn't have to log in separately to SKMB if they were already logged in with FB.

    Jordan?? HELP!!

Same here, I haven't messed with it but was wondering how it worked.

Right now, we've left the posting disabled. If enough people want us to enable posting their activities to Facebook, we could enable it.

Either way, we're going to leave the login app's default permission to "Only Me."

What that means is (unless YOU change the setting) anything the app posts to Facebook will only be visible to you, i.e. will not be visible to your friends or anyone else.

Jordan; even though it's automatically set to "only me" would "liking" a thread here override that option, so people on FB would see that like?

Liking should be working separately, but I'm not 100% sure. If that is dependent on the app's settings, it is the only thing that the app would actually be posting.

Okay. The app now requests permission to post to friends only. The only thing it will post are the pages you like on the site.

If you want to be able to log into your existing account through Facebook, you need to log into the site normally and then click the Facebook Connect button.

If you want to disconnect your facebook account:
Settings -> Edit Connections (under My Account)
