many questions **IT/DARK TOWER SPOILERS**
first off i just discovered this site last night, and i have to say i'm enjoying myself. I do however have some questions pertaining to kings multiverse.
First off here is what i know so far...
it seems to me that ben (from it) states that he thinks he killed all of "its" eggs. In the comics it is reveiled that the crimson king is the child of arther eld and a creature from when the prim receded. From that i asume that the crimson king was "its" child and that ben didn't get all the eggs, especaly when you consider that the king later lives in dairy (in insomnia). Now you might say that would make him to young to be portraied in the fasion that he was in the book (insomnia), but remember that mordrid ages faset then we do and thus you can assume that the same would be true for his father.
I,ve read on this site that people seem to think that it, the king, rl, etc are all the same creature. Personaly i think thats lame, unless you take into account the fact that it professes to be legion, in wich case they could all be children of the red (as in an opposite force to the white).
I've read on this site that people arn't sure who "the other" is. This is a simple question. It has to be god. In the stand the hand of god comes down and blows up las vegas, thus that seems to suggest that god exists in the king verse and thus must be "the other".
Accoding to insomnia patric danville (the guy who basicly destroies the crimson king is from the "key stone earth" so that means that he cant go back to mid world unless other vertions of himself exist in the other universes. But if they do exist then they cant have the same power as the original otherwise the king would end up with an army of danvilles.
In the book "it" the kids kill the monstar. In my oppinion that means that the part of it that was brought here in prehistoric times should be dead, but the sourse (the dead lights outside the universes) still exists. So that means that "it" is still alive just not on our planet anymore. But we come to find out that "it" is still around.
In the dark tower books we find that giliad is long gone
in the dark tower it seems that roland travels thousands of miles to get to the dark tower wich is at the center of his world.
In the stand randel flagg (working on behalf of the crimson king) either destroies or is just taking advantage of the plauge to gain power.
In the story the mist, scientists are conducting expairiments in inter dimentional travel and acsidently open a door to todash space releasing the monstars onto the planet.
now the questions...
1 when (in earth dates) was the crimson king born
2 how does the leigon mythos fit into all of this
3 how can roland keep dooing the same quest over and over if danville isnt there anymore. Plus how many vertions of jake chambers can he use befor he runs out.
4 will there be an "it 2" cause the time for "its" feeding cycle is getting close.
5 at what point in our history would corispond to the hight of giliad (ie was giliad big when we were in ancient times) because if "it" is the crimson kings mother and arthor eld is "its" dad then he was hatched some time after 1985 and thus the hight of giliad must have only been less then 30 years ago (wich might work if you consider that time is different there like in narnia where hundreds of years go by over ther when only a few hours pass here)
6 does anyone know where i can find maps of rolands world
7 if roland travels thousands of miles to get to the tower wich is at the center of his world and he came from the far end of what ever continent he is on then whats on the other side of the tower surley there must be other people out there or is it just a huge piece of empty land.
8 If rolands world has had and lost such tech as positronic/atomic circuits and artifical intelegence then do any of the other worlds. Ie is there a vertion of our world thats super high tech.
9 was the events in the mist an accident caused by flagg or the king as the virus in the stand seemed to be.
10 it dosn't seem that (other then perhaps the crimson king and mordrid) any of the bad guys from it, the dark tower, etc ever had kids so whats up with "its" daughter that lives in beverleys old house, cause it realy seems off characture if it was "it"
11 why does every human that comes into contact with one of stephen kings monstars forget about it and what happens is one of those people gos looking for answers, for example if mike from "it" wonders what hes been doing since he was a kid.
12 does anyone who when the new "it" movie will be finished. I cant wait.
