So I am reading through IT for the eighth or ninth time and I found a comment on page 618 (might be different in another copy) made by Mike that I find somewhat odd. When he is discussing the shooting of the Bradley gang with Mr. Keene and Mike is thinking to himself and has this thought.
'His eyes were not sharp now; they were hazy with memory, soft as the eyes of a man only become when he is remembering one of the best times of his life-the first home run he ever hit, maybe, or the first trout he ever landed was big enough to keep or the first time he ever lay with a willing woman'.
"Willing women". It unsettles me. To me that sounds a bit like Mike might know about sleeping with unwilling women. I hope not. Mike and Ben are my personal favorite characters and I don't like the thoughts that line provokes about Mike lol. I wonder if the wording was a mistake. Anyways just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed this and felt it odd just as I did. Cheers.
