Default The Mist just started reading it

Just started reading The Mist , All I can say i this its one hell of a short story and its better than the movie, The characters are realistically portrayed no magical powers or superhuman strenght just a normal being living their day to day lives until a mysterious mist engulf their town,

I just started reading it as well. It is quite amazing, my friend. I loved the movie but so far the story seems like it's gonna put the movie adaption to shame. It's also Very realistic so far as I have actually encountered many power outages in my day (I live in the county)as well as some pretty hardcore weather. (Was once taking refuge from a tornado in my best friend's shed) I like how he describes how David has the dream of God and all around the destructive fires of what he sees as his living place is smothered in a mysterious mist...Prophecy? Visions? Insanity? Guess I'll just have to keep on reading!!!

The Mist is my favorite SK short story thus far! Stephen has mentioned that he had wished he had thought of the ending as portrayed in the movie, but I find Stephen's ending to be perfect. I enjoy the ambiguity of the story and do not mind the unanswered questions.
