Too smucking fascinating

Just finished Lisey's on my second try. Right now, dont know if I'm madly in love with King or want to slap his face into tomorrow. I have NEVER in my life found a book simultaneously so smucking annoying and fascinating and I read A LOT.

Steve, the bloody (brackets) and fonetix drive you up the wall !!

In spite of that (or maybe because of that), I was glued to that smucking book which I finished in a 22 hour marathon, forgetting to eat, feed the cat and even have my usual 5:00 glass of wine (now, that's telling a lot). I just HAD TO KNOW how this would resolve.

So, yes, I hated it but I also loved it to the end.

Keep on trucking, you're the King.

I enjoyed Liseys Story more on the second read as well. I cried at the end of it on the first and second time, but the second read just hit me harder about how hard it was for them and how, even after, he still was holding influence.

I found the first 50 pages hard to get through, actually had to start over after about page 30 because I was totally lost. Then the book really took off. I found there was no middle ground for me in this story; the great parts were REALLY great, the lagging parts REALLY lagged. The childhood scenes were the best parts, especially the last few at the end. Overall, worth reading... if you can commit to it for the long haul.
