Shasta - as a relative Newbie here - what does "hijack this thread" mean exactly? Good luck and best wishes to Trey. I did not even know that a pancreatic transplant was possible! Sending very good karma your way or at least my prayers for a good recovery.
That is great news, Shasta! I'm sure the person who unselfishly signed that donor card would be greatly pleased to know what good is coming of it.
May Trey have no issues with this surgery. Sending positive and healing vibes.
Saying prayers for Trey, that the surgery goes flawlessly. May his road to recovery be a swift one.
Big congrats on your decision Shasta, that's brilliant news. I will keep everything crossed that creating a little bundle of joy goes smoothly for you guys.
Hope Trey's surgery goes well, keep us updated please. I'm especially interested in the pancreas transplant, it's something I've been discussing with my best friend since she's considering having one, if possible. Sending love and best wishes Trey's way.
(((Trey)))
Good Luck. Enjoy the practice. Don't get disappointed if it doesn't happen right away.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Trey, everyone.
I didn't know a pancreas transplant was possible either! But it seems to be going well and they're planning on putting in the kidney soon. I'll keep you all posted!
Wishing all the best for Trey's speedy recovery, Shasta.
As for your baby-to-be...I am so happy for you! This is the beginning of an amazing journey in your life! You will learn things about yourself (and your husband) that you never knew before. My one piece of advice is to get used to the idea of not being in control anymore. If there's one thing I've learned from parenthood it is that you sometimes just have to take things as the come, and see what happens.
As for baby names, you're getting way ahead of yourself! There a lot of websites out there that can help with suggestions! Things will become narrowed down once you know the sex of the baby (if you choose to do that).
