I really tried to do a faithful job in adapting the story. The biggest challenge, because the story was sort of this one continuous experience, was to find places where the story can break and leave each page with a little mini-cliffhanger...not terribly difficult because i think, in good stories from solid writers, those sort of hooks are peppered all the way through. I've always thought the number one job of a story is to simply make you want to keep reading by making you want to know WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. But to find it in 24 evenly spaced parts...lol...THAT was a challenge.

stephen king talks about the importance of "narrative propulsion": I guess narrative brake-pads are important too sometimes!

I'm so glad people are enjoying it. It's always surprising to me but it really shouldn't, that people unfamiliar with comics would have trouble reading them at first. But of course it makes total sense.

Where did you find the print version? I am reading the comic version, and it's ok, but I would love to find the print version, even as an e book.

I am absolutely reading this. We're building the story and it's keeping coming back. I want to know where this is going. And comic book artists are so amazing. How they do what they do. Oh how I wish I could draw! Such a talent to have.

Having never read the short story, this was my first exposure to TLGGA. That said, I found it kind of lacking. I thought it was drawn well, but the story was kind of boring. Am I alone in thinking this?

Read the story if you can. I personally feel Dennis Calero did an excellent job with it.
