Joe also wrote Gunpowder -- a short novella story. I really liked this one. His descriptions were so stark and the mood so desolate --really spoke to me and what I was feeling at that time in my life.
I've really enjoyed all of Joe's writing and he definitely is his own writer. 20th Century Ghost was just a great collection of his talent. I'd like to see him do another short story compilation.

I hope ho does more shorts.

His longer stuff doesn't work for me. Honestly, it just doesn't hold up. It gets cramped and redundant and then (the worst part) forced because he knows it is cramped and redundant.

Maybe that's why he likes the "Locke and Keye" stuff...novels just aren't his best gig right now.

I hope he does more short stories because I have really enjoyed most of them....and I'm not into the graphic "junk," although I know it has that fun "look at me I'm a rock$star" stuff associated with it.

Not my bag, baby.

I love Joe Hill. I found out he was King's son a few years after reading Heart-Shaped Box. I loved it! I liked Horns more than HSB. I have 20th Century Ghosts in queue as my next read. He's a great author and I really like his style.
