I know that many people hated this one, usually for 2 reasons:
1. The child actors were bad.
2. The ending did not make sense.
Well, if you don't judge the children, an ignore the end, it's very good. Anyone agree?

I didn't think it was that bad of a movie. The stock of any movie goes up a bit when I notice Timothy Olyphant is in it. He's a very good actor and the other actors I thought did a pretty good job. Not the best S.K adapted movie but not the worst...
I liked it just fine, I think. I say that because I don't remember it as being awful or excellent, which in general means I enjoyed myself and had popcorn and Coke Zero and all in all a pleasant evening at the show.
The first time I saw Dreamcatcher, I was pretty disappointed. I guess I had really high expectations. But as time has gone by, I found that I really do like the movie. No, it's not perfect, but it's not bad either.
Yeah, Olyphant is good. I'm glad I'm not alone.
I thought this was a great movie. it seemed to follow the book pretty closely.
...this will be damning with faint praise...but it ain't awful....
I read the book twice before I really got it. Strangely enough it was the same with the film. It turned up on TV and we watched it and really enjoyed it then. Maybe it suits the small screen better.
Yeah this is sadly one of the books I haven't gotten to reading yet. I saw the movie and definitely enjoyed it. Friends of mine and I go up to a cabin twice a year just to hang out and catch up, and something about this movie captures that kind of nostalgia for me (before it all goes to ****e)![]()
I'll have to pick this one up on audible once I'm done with The Stand unabridged on audible![]()
I thought the movie was awful and I love the book. The ending was awful and I was really disappointed with Morgan Freeman tho I suspect that was more the director. I do not think he was nearly the crazy he was in the book.
