How many people noticed Jordy was Steve BEFORE the credits came up and revealed it? I personally didn't, but i suspected it.

I knew he had a role in Creepshow before I saw it for the first time.
And I also recognize him immediately as Jordy Verrill.

yeah, being both a big time movie fan and a king fan...you bet i knew going in that unka stevie was in it, that he played a pivotal role in one of the sequences, and that much of it was played for humor: happily, all of it worked !

i thought he was fantastic...one of the best things in the flick !

back in the day, i was a devoted Starlog fan...and, being a subscriber, they sent along an invite to try out their new horror effort...which i believe (if the mists of time allow) was to be called Phantasmagoria...by the time it arrived at my door, it was called Fangoria...and i was in love with that mag for a long time...even let my Starlog sub die out (what ? i was a poor, little teen...could only afford so much !)...

anyway, they kept all fans totally up to date on all things, including casts and such...much like the internet does now...if'n ya know where to look

He was certainly better than M. Night Shyamalin in Signs - which wasn't bad per se just seemed gratuitous.

You know it's funny because many talented writers are also good actors. It somehow goes with the territory. Stephen King did a magnificent job playing Jordy Verrill. I was very impressed even if he does call himself a Lunkhead...

hmmmm..i pretty sure m night has always maintained that he does cameos as an homage to hitchcock, who did it all the time...kings role, however, was pivotal to that particular story...

if you think about it, in a way, a good writer probably has to act out all the parts in order to make them real...to make them breathe

I noticed him as soon as he came on the screen. That's a distinctive face that noone can forget!!
