Haven't been this excited about a book in years...

I think Doctor Sleep sounds like it's going to be fantastic! The Shining is probably my favourite book by King - and the idea of this sequel and the story it's going to tell sounds absolutely amazing, must read stuff! January 2013 can't come fast enough, and there's still plenty of unread King books to keep me occupied until then!

I completely agree Stu. The Shining is one of my faves too.
I'll admit that when I first heard of Dr. Sleep and it's story about how Danny now works in a hospice and helps to ease the pain of the dying patients, I feared the worst. But now that I've heard a bit more about the plot, I'm pretty darn excited.

I know what you mean! I don't usually get this way over books/movies/ect. But, I read the Shining in the 9th grade and I absolutely loved it. Albeit when I first heard that there was going to be a sequel I was iffy at first and now, after reading the plot summary, I just want it to be out already.
