I'd say THE TOMMYKNOCKERS. It's one of my top five all-time favorite King novels. While on the other hand, INSOMNIA ranks as one of his worst. I had such trouble finishing that novel it's not even funny.

Tommyknockers. My My the choices we must make!
I have to say that, in my opinion, you can't go wrong with either one. Both are in my favourites list. Just do the eine-meenie thing.
Both are awesome books! Tommyknockers is one of my favorite King novels but Insomnia was also awesome. Read one after the other and let us know what you think!
These two are on the lower end of my SK scale. Insomnia has it's moments. But the whole abortion backstory was a bit of a drag on the plot. Just too political for my liking in a SK book. I did like old Ralph though and there are plenty of references to other SK books. Doesn't Ralph make a cameo in 11.22.63? Tommyknockers had a great sci fi storyline but it's not one of my favorites. Traci Lords did wonders for the postal service, though, in the TV mini-series. So I will always think of it fondly.
I would say tommy knockers
i don't no but is Stephen King so gust go with it
I would read Tommyknockers first and read Insomnia when you get to the Dark Tower series. I read the Tower series first then Insomnia which provided a good foundation in the Crimson King canon.
Agree with everyone, I prefer Insomnia too so read Tommyknockers first.
