I just finished doing the DT books and I would recommend doing the whole series at once. For me the story was easier to follow reading them back to back.

I'm reading The Talisman and listening to Black House. I've lost track of how many times I've read each of them, every time is like the first, both are great books. The Talisman is just good, that is all I can say, it's just a helluva great plot and just a great overall read. Same goes for Black House.

The movie and the book have almost nothing in common with each other. The book is MUCH better.

Speaking of the DT series, is there somewhere I can get a whole set that matches? I'm kind of OCD that way

I don't like to have the covers all mismatched and stuff. If I continue buying from the used bookstore that's what will happen.

With the exception of the Donald M. Grant editions, the books have been released by two different publishers which is why they do not match exactly. Viking/Penguin and Scribner/Grant reached a compromise for matching covers by adding the keyhole/gun & rose logo on the spines. There aren't any plans at this time to release editions that have covers that are alike.
