You have come across a wonderful series. There are three and Mr. McCammon promises yet another Matthew story!! He may live in the 18th century but people are always the same.

I agree. Eyes of the Dragon is one of my favorite Stephen Kings and very much overlooked. So good.

There's actually four books in the series now:
    Speaks The Nightbird
    Queen Of Bedlam
    Mister Slaughter
    The Providence Writer

Indeed, it is a wonderful series!!

Since my last visit 3 weeks ago I have finished The Waste Lands and Wizard and Glass, made a brief detour to read Logan's Run, and am now 80% through Wolves of the Calla. Woo hoo!

Finished The Light Between Oceans the other night. I really liked it. It didn't go in quite the direction I thought! The author did a really great job of making you feel for everyone, and see all sides. It did make me cry in a couple different places toward the end, especially the last few pages. Really beautiful story, I thought.

Started the first Longmire mystery last night, The Cold Dish. Has already made me laugh out loud. The books and show are set in my little corner of the world, although the show mixes things up a little bit, as far as names go. Anyway, they were discussing town Christmas decorations, and one character asks, "Do you think they are the ugliest in Wyoming?" After a little thought, Walt answers, "Gillette's are uglier." It made me laugh, because we really do have the most pitiful, ugliest Christmas decorations I think I've ever seen.

I am reading David Copperfield and really loving it. Every now and again I love to read a classic.
