and i can't wait!
Doctor Sleep. It arrived about 20 minutes ago.
This post is not about what I'm reading but this coincidence involving John D. MacDonald. I've been renting episodes of the 1960 TV series Thriller for the past few weeks and I saw an episode called The Fatal Impulse. When the credits were rolling, I noticed the story was based on a John D. MacDonald story. So I went to IMDB and looked the series up to see if MacDonald had any other episodes. Impulse was the only story of his done on the show but while I was looking this info up, I noticed that the story was adapted for the show by Phillip MacDonald. I wondered if that was his brother or other relation, so I dug a little deeper and discovered that Phillip was the son of another famous author, Ross MacDonald. As far as I know, Ross and John were not related but both wrote detective stories around the same period of time. Ross's real name was John and he changed it Ross he wouldn't get confused with John. So I thought it was odd that Ross's son was adapting a work by John for the show.
I have just finished Doctor Sleep. Great read!
