I was just re-reading The Rage by bachman....it is my favorite bachman book.
A couple of days ago, Amazon had 48 hard case crime books (various authors) on sale for $1.99. I bought a few of them without knowing much about them. I just based my selections on the customer reviews. Anyway, I've started the first one. It is called Fifty To One and it's by Charles Ardai. I'm about a third of the way in (it's very good BTW) and have come across an interesting character. It's a female boxer named Colleen King that boxes as The Colorado Kid.
I am still knee deep in the Dark Tower....Song Of Susannah actually...at a slower pace than I usually read. I love the characters but am perhaps not as in love with the story as I expected to be...certainly wouldnt go as far as to say I dislike it...but I might take this to the DT page where I can spoil and discuss it. Anywho...thats what I am reading, still.
I made a bad, bad mistake. I'm still reading The Tommyknockers--getting close to finishing it, in fact--but I went to eat out with the family today and wanted to take a book. My copy (actually my dad's copy) is a hardback, so I didn't want to lug it around. Instead, I took my (again, my dad's) copy of Cujo, which is a tiny little paperback. That, friends and loved ones, was my mistake. I'm sort of struggling through the Tommyknockers, having a hard time really sinking myself into it. As of late, I have somewhat been able to get into the book better, but now, having started Cujo (which I am already well sunk into) I am having a hard time motivating myself to climb out of the hole, clean myself off and jump back into the land of the Tommyknockers...I should have known better...
