I finished "The Twelve" today, and am definitely looking forward to book # 3, whenever...! I really did like this story line. As fanciful as it, it kept me thinking all the way, "But, what if?" I particularly liked the Lila/Grey pairing. Talk about the odd couple...but it worked so beautifully. I wish Tifty would have had a little more prominence, because I thought he was an interesting character. No more so than the other major players, though. They are all quite compelling, and well drawn. Not sure what I'll pick up next...but I hope it will be as satisfying as the Cronin saga.
I am about 70 pages to the end of 11/22/63. It's been a long read as everytime I sit down and pick it up here comes one of the dogs (there are three) seeking ear stroking;'tis hard to stroke and hold that book up at the same time!
Anyway I am taking the trip to the last page slowly as I know Mr. King is going to start throwing twists and turns at me. his CR, and I had better pay close attention!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Started 'The Providence Rider' by Robert McCammon last night. It's good to be back with Matthew Corbett and Co. again!![]()
Started 'Swan Song' by Robert McCammon. First of his I have read.
I never got that, a lot of people say that Swan Song and the Stand are similar, I don't see it. I don't mean to be disagreeable, so let me say I must have missed something. To me other than the fact that they are both apocalyptic tales and they are both excellent stories, I do not see anything else that they have in common.
I came in here initially to say that I'm starting The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon tonight.
