Good morning, everyone.
Having some coffee and doing some reflecting...today would have been little Ahmira Bella's first birthday. It's been hard all week, I keep picturing her walking now, and maybe talking a little. We will be spending some time at the cemetery later today. I have had a hard time finding something to lay at her grave, I want it to be something special. Maybe I'm being too picky.
Sending big hugs to everyone, and just want to say again how much I love and appreciate all of you. The friendships I have made here have filled a very special place in my heart, and you all make me happy every day.
Have a wonderful weekend...tell the people in your life that you love them, and give them a big hug. Here is one from me to all of you! (((((Ka-Tet))))
Was very surprised to hear it's been that long--can't believe it's been a year already. All I can tell you as someone who's been there, is that it will get easier with time. (((Tina and family)))

It's been -10C and very hard storm today. But we still are without the snow.
Okay maybe I wish for little snow after it's been so cold and dark for a
long time.
Off from work this weekend so I thought to just relax and really try to read
maybe watch some movies.
Take good care friends and be well.

Just got back from the Salvation Army Thrift Store. I go there and buy old comforters for my dog. I can usually get a twin or full size for $6 or $8. Ozzy likes to use them for a bed for a couple of months. Then when he gets tired of it as a bed, he rips it to shreds and does unspeakable things to it and I have to go get him another one. If I don't keep him supplied with these old comforters, he will snatch a good one (and much more expensive one) off my bed so I always make sure he's got his own.
Anyway, I usually buy the ugliest one I can find. I figure I'm helping the thrift store by buying something that is so ugly they wouldn't be able to sell it otherwise. I found a truly hideous one today and was standing in line to pay for it when a lady behind me said, "that is beautiful" and kept going on about how much she liked it. I was having a hard time not cracking up because I thought it was so ugly and I was glad I never had to tell her I was buying it for my dog to sleep on and rip to shreds.
The neighbourhood has gotten a lot quieter. The Ex-hole was served yesterday and I'm sure that paperwork made his boys shrivel. Time for him to understand that you can't stalk me and get away with it.
So, the neighbourhood was quiet last night, I was the only one home in my building, and I was able to relax a bit. Really relax. No thumps, bangs, or 'that same song' as someone would drive by. I could get used to that relaxation thing.
I've got to go to the doctor today for my once-a-month appointment right after lunch so I shouldn't stick around here too long. Maybe I'll just have a cup of English Breakfast tea over by the fireplace. *just sits there and smiles* I could start getting used to the smile thing as well.
