Hi All! I want to send out all kinds of good thoughts and vibes to everyone out there who's being affected by the wild fires and/or storms, seems like it's hitting alot of us SKMB members!!!! Everyone PLEASE try to stay safe!! Mother Nature can be a royal b*tch sometimes with no heart or soul. I pray all will make it thru these trying times. Keep us posted and if there's some member that you don't hear from please try to contact them so we all know that things are ok? We do worry, ya know? We are KA-TET!!! I'm home from my three day trip to Seattle, took my sister from Texas over so she could see the rest of our siblings who live there. It was good for all of us to get together as we're all scattered across the country now and don't get to see each other but maybe once a year. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see my friend Patricia A. as time just went too fast!!! (Sorry, Pats, I really did want to see you and have some more laughs!!!!! Mia culpa!! You know that I love ya, right??!!) There was some family drama to take care of (isn't there always with family?) that used up alot of the time, but all is good on the family front now. For the most part. Really. I hope you all have a fun and safe Fourth Of July!!! Only one more day till all the little critters get the crap scared out of them from the noisy fireworks. Probably going to go to downtown Spokane with sis and watch the festivities- been living here for three years now and haven't done it yet!! (kinda like folks in New York who never go the Empire State Building) So, have a great day, be safe, be cool and be happy!!!

    Good morning all!
I've been reading some of your previous posts, and I've learnt about some terrible fires in the States. Well, here in Spain we're having our share of it too. An equivalent to 90 thousand foootball fields have been burnt. I know, it sounds incredible, but that's what I heard in the news.

We have very-very hot summers here -above all inland-, but also lack of prevention and lack of responsibility, so unfortunately this is not new.
But those fires seems to be under control now, so, we can be happy.

Well, no more Paris and no more holidays for me now. Back to study and prepare my teachers examinations, that will be held... who knows when. No news about this until september or october. Studying without a horizon is double hard, but what else can we do? I need to be prepare when the time comes.

Sending good vibes to all of you and yours.

Want to wish everyone in US a safe and happy 4th of July.

I hope rain will come soon to the fires area. And please be safe everyone who
    are in those area.

I hate waiting. My dog Uno aren't feeling well at all. He's intestine is blocked I think, he
haven't done he's business in the whole day and he only vomit. I called the vet earlier today and
the vet told be to give Uno paraffin but that not helped at all. I called the vet second time and
the vet asked me about Uno and Uno's symptom. He promised to call me back and I still waiting
for he to call and it drive me nuts soon since my dog is really in pain. I wish is nothing serious.
    I truly worried about Uno.

Weather is really good here. Sun is shine and it's 19C outside.

Take good care and be well everyone.

    Good Tuesday to all.

Good to hear you are OK Becks.
Johanna, hope the vet calls back soon and can help Uno.
Gelata, much success in your continued studies. Must be difficult not knowing when the exams will be scheduled. Just be prepared.

Want to wish everyone a safe and fun Fourth Of July. If you are under a burning ban, please no fireworks. Let there be rain where rain is needed, power restored where needed and calm from Mother Nature.

Have a great day off MsMod!
Herbal tea in hand, and off to bean bag central. All are welcome to join. For those with critters, the Cantina has a sound proof critter play area for during the fireworks.

    Happy Tuesday!

Glad to see Becks and her family are ok.

Johanna, sending you good vibes for Uno, hope it is nothing serious and he gets better soon.

We are all doing ok today, inlaws are still safe for the moment. The fire there has grown to 5000 acres, and is kind of horseshoe shaped around the town. It is threatening 300 homes in another small town, they have all been evacuated from that town. Still no evacuation for their town. Wind is supposed to be strong again today, so it will probably still get worse before it gets better, still is 0% contained.

Our town finally instituted a complete fire ban yesterday. We have been under a partial ban for a couple of weeks, but yesterday they went ahead and said no fireworks, no charcoal grilling, no fires whatsoever. I think it is a smart move. Hopefully people abide by it, there are some who are upset about the fireworks, but I think it is much better to take care and do whatever possible to avoid a disaster. The grass fire yesterday was started by sparks from a train, so it isn't taking more than a stray spark to set things ablaze.

Sending big hugs to all, have a great holiday, but stay safe!!
