Monday again! And the time change adjustment blues have set in, at my house at least! The kids are struggling with it. Had a hard time explaining to them why they had to wait to eat dinner and why they had to try, try to stay awake, just a little while longer, last night. This morning Ali asked me, full of exasperation, "But, WHO changed the time?!!?" How do you answer that?
Evan has a concert tonight, first one of the year.
Sending big big hugs and positive vibes to everyone.
Well it is here in NJ. I didn't think I'd appreciate the governor moving the date, but seeing how happy the kids are to do 'real' trick or treating today, I think I can get over my misgivings. We're doing the whole nine yards here because tomorrow we get another storm and the power company has already told us we'll probably lose electricity. SMH
Oh well. Stay safe everyone, enjoy reading by candlelight if you're in the same boat we are!
Mrs. Book, Prayers being said that the power holds for all in the path of this next storm. (I had hoped the forecasters would be wrong)
Tina, Good luck and have fun at the concert tonight. I bet Evan will be adorable!! ( the time change has been rough here too, mine didn't want to get up this a.m.)
Saying prayers of safety for all Tet-Mates.
Howdy friends. Hope all is well with everyone. I'm grabbing some cold pizza out of the fridge and a glass of sweet tea. Basketball season has started in Indiana so life is good right now. Busy, but good.
Have a great day folks!
Ugh. Woke up this morning to frost on the ground and the water shut off (power went out at a treatment station). I have a bad feeling about tonight.
But that's tonight! This morning is the election! Please get out and vote (except maybe you people who don't agree with me ) and yesterday was sort of Halloween and I've got birthday preparations to do... You know, I kind of hope our power goes out so I can put my feet up and rest awhile.
Please stay safe everyone. And fill up some water jugs. You never know.
*wanders in at 0430, looking for a snack now that the pain is slowly backing down*
It was a long day and night, but I've gotten through it. If anyone wants to find me, I'll be curled up in one of those bean bag chairs with a cup of tea. Can't sleep quite yet. Mind if I bring my dog in here once in a while?
Good morning! Happy Election Day! (That somehow doesn't quite sound right. ) Hope everyone gets out and votes today. I can't go until later, after hubby gets home, but we will be heading over right after work.
Evan's concert was a big success last night. It was so much fun. It was a musical called Joust, and I was very pleasantly surprised that they were all in costume! We weren't asked to provide costumes, so I think they were borrowed from the high school, maybe. Evan didn't know where they came from. But it was really cute. The girls all had medieval dresses on, and their hair was all done up, they had the little long veils fixed in their hair. The boys were knights and jousters, there were musicians with flutes and jesters, and there was a King Arthur and a Merlin.
Evan was a jouster, he had a small individual part, where he was supposed to run across the stage and say his line...he slid right past the microphone! And his group of jousters had a song and dance that they performed together. There was one kid, who was a jester who was so hilarious. He played his part very well, and was completely comfortable on stage. King Arthur had an amazing voice. It was a really fun night, and they all got well deserved applause and whistles from the audience. Many kudos to their music teacher!
