Hi All! I am sending out all of my good thoughts and prayers to all of you that are going to be effected by this monster of a storm!!! (((((((((((Ka-tet mates)))))))))))) I am praying that everyone has heeded the warnings and gotten the heck out of dodge, so to speak?? I've been thru one hurricane (alicia) in my life, that was enough, and it was nowhere near what this storm is packing!! I am very, very worried about this one. Please, PLEASE be safe!!

I'm watching the news right now. It's 12'20 pm here, so it's about 07'20 in New York. The night must have been terrible. I have seen images of dark streets, fire and flooding. Many people have lost their houses and some their lives. It's terrible.
I have seen President Obama saying that the worst is still to come, but I think those words were said yesterday. I wish I'm not wrong.
I hope our mb friends in the path of the storm are safe and ok.
I'll be checking the mb for your news.

Isn't that interesting? It's such a natural combo that I assumed into adulthood that everyone knew about it. Although I don't like beer and can't abide the thought of iced tea will chili. Milk or water for me. Or soda.

My husband and I were looking at Sandy photos last night.

Thousands of miles away and to the south, FL is experiencing the winds and cold still associated with Sandy. 49F/9C this morning.
The destruction is massive in places. I think the count I saw was 16 dead.
Hats off to all first responders who put their lives at stake to help those in need. Way to go to the coast guard crew who rescued those who had to abandon the ship HMS Bounty off North Carolina. The captain is still missing.
Prayers and thought go out to all.

The Cantina is up and running with open doors for all to relax and escape daily life.
Herbal tea in hand, and off to bean bag central to watch the news coverage. All welcome to join.
