Lye is also used for making soap, so he could have gotten it from your soap making supplies. Have the police not arrested him because they can't prove he's tampered with any of your things?

If you only had the stuff on your hair briefly, for a wash, than those treatments should do the trick to fix your hair up. Meanwhile, you're lucky it didn't get in your eyes!
Drain openers are much more than just lye, unfortunately. I've deep conditioned with a new product already and sprayed in other conditioners and I still have sticky, plastic, doll hair on the top part of my head. I think it's going to be a brush cut when it grows a little bit. I can't stand the idea of a full shave.

My lye was already at my friend's house. All of it. There's Drano Max Gel under the sink. Unfortunately, that was the last of the shampoo in the bottle and I automatically rinse the bottle for recycling while still in the shower. Damn.

I have a doc appointment on Friday so I am going to get him to document this for me.

Because most of the incidents are legally 'unprovable' enough that the counsel won't press charges, I've been on my own. There might be another way to get him when I am out of here. I've been under observation for a long time, so I'm guessing my husband and his g/f have been watched too. Maybe there is stuff I don't know about.

I HAVE talked to the housing person who is helping me and left a message for the property manager so they know things got ugly again.

I'm burned out and ticked way the hell off. This attack was beyond LOW.

I had to call the police again. I'm not sure when the mean sh** did it, but it was some kind of chemical in my deep condition shampoo. Maybe drain opener. I've got chemical burns on my head, my hair has been badly damaged, and I might be having to cut off my long hair to a brush cut, damn near to the scalp, if the products don't work to save my hair.

I can't wait to get the hell out of here. He's effin' sadistic.
That's a serious assault. You could have easily been blinded or worse.

    Morning, ka-tet!

I hope everyone else's morning has been productive and relaxing!

((LadyPain)) Legally unprovable? That's just... insane. I think I understand the old urge to throw boiling water on a sleeping man now. And a girlfriend, too? She's nuts - as in the psychopath's girlfriend from the Frighteners nuts.

I'll have a cup of spiced chai and a couple of special brownies, please. My head still hurts, although the burns don't hurt nearly as bad as yesterday. I used some of my own product that I make to put on the burns yesterday. The redness is gone today and the weeping has stopped. Definitely gonna have to find a way to rock a brush cut.

I talked to another neighbour today, and told the truth. Really gacky lookin' hair also proved the story. She was blown away. I'm making sure the truth is known for when all hell breaks loose when I leave.

I MISS having my SK's all packed up. I've been taking my time with Needful Things on my re-read. I don't want to run out of book until I have access to the other ones again.

I find short hair to be quite liberating and fun. (I've got naturally curly/wavy hair and finally found the style that is ME: when it's "done" it's about two clicks away from total bedhead.) I'm not sure if you can use this--I know you have allergy issues--but Redken Water Wax is da bomb diggity (although it's not the main stuff I use at the moment).
