Happy Friday everyone!

I had to stop and think about what day it actually is today. Seems like it's been the never ending week, with all of hubby's night shifts, but yet has sped on by. 2 more to go. Maybe only 1 1/2. They are a little ahead of schedule.

I hate to wish it away, though, because then we are that much closer to the start of school. I'm having a really hard time, because all my kids will be going this year, my baby starts kindergarten. I have had some breakdowns about it already. Doesn't help that he is so darn excited about going! I am glad, though, that he is. I have never had to go through having one cry and plead not to be left at school. I know I couldn't handle that.

Have a few errands to run this morning, and then taking the kids to the library for probably the last time this summer. They have all done really well with the summer reading program there, and we have gotten to read some really fun books together.

Did everyone have a grand weekend? I Kept myself busy and took some time to de-stress and try to relax.

We had some much needed rain. Yay! Not all that we need but, thankful for what we got.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. May all in the fire zones be safe. It certainly has been a bad year for wildfires.

Good morning! Monday again!

We made it through all the night shifts. Yesterday was a very lazy day around here, it was like we had all let out a big deep breath that we had been holding for the last week. Hubby is off now until Friday, he should be able to get to feeling like himself and less like a zombie. (or a vampire, which is what he says working all those nights made him feel like!)

The sunrise was beautiful this morning here, sky was all pink and purple. It was kind of nice to have a quiet moment, looking out the window and watching the sun come up. Mornings are going to be pretty hectic again in only 8 more days.

Oh my eight more days..time flies huh?Sounds like he is happy to be going so it will be a good day for you all I am sure..if you want a chuckle,on my first day of kindergarden I ran away from the classroom!I waited till Mrs D wasn't watching,sneaked to the door and it was feets don't fail me now!Flew down the hall,out the front doors,and down the parking lot,teachers in not so hot pursuit..guess they realized I wasn't going anwhere since home was about five miles away..it seems I knew,even at the tender age of five,that something wasn't kosher with that school type thing..anyhow it all worked out,here I am all edumaketd and still learrnin goodd..heehee

Good Monday, everyone... if there is such a thing. It feels so weird only showing up in mid afternoon, but we actually had decent weather and took the kids to this ropes course/playground for a picnic and monkey business. I hope everyone is well and I'll read back over to catch up.

Busy weekend for me again. I worked and took care of my animals plus watched Haven the time I had after work.
It's been sunny and 15C these last days. I think summer was over now and autumn and winter step in.
I really liked the warm and sunny days we had last week.

Hope all is feeling well or getting better.

I hope these wildfires are all under control soon and nobody else is hurt.

Preparing to go off to Hawai'i for 2 weeks next Monday: gathering the snorkeling equipment, washing and packing, making reservations for activities, etc. I will take plenty of pics and report in as often as I'm able.
