Does anyone know if the Walking Dead zombies have problems with scavengers and other animals that would feed on flesh? Is this ever explored in the graphic stories? I would think that wolves and maybe even birds of prey might try to go after them since they are slow-moving.

Of course, in real life, if your body was really decaying, you'd lose your eyesight pretty quickly, but I'm willing to suspend disbelief for my love of a good zombie story.

I am pretty much so not a zombie officiando-However, I will give you my guess. I think that the animals would probably become infected if they did descend upon the zombies. I have not read the comics on the Walking dead. I am thinking since they are already dead-they would just decay a lot more slowly.

The zombies pray on other animals as well. I think the smell of the zombies would turn many other animals away.
