I share the same sentiments as everyone else: no, Jake should not be played by Justin Bieber. I worked with kids for three years and I can tell you that most of the kids who love Justin Bieber love things because of mass marketing techniques. The Dark Tower is too good to play into that, and so is Stephen King. I think that Jake should be played by someone young, perhaps someone that even looks close to Justin Bieber. However, the actor should be full of depth and intrigue, not commercialism and crap.

Very well said, my head hurts thinking about this concept. Imagine the setting if you will. "Jake Bieber", after successfully making an escape with Roland from Crusher and the Tick-Tock man, decides to celebrate with a Commala dance which is punctuated by him busting out with "Baby-Baby-Baby-OHHHHHH!", complete with choreographed dance......OH GOD THE HUMANITY, TEAR MY EYES FROM THEIR SOCKETS PLEASE...LOL
