If you could live forever...

...what would you live for? What would you do then with your eternal life?

I just thought that if could be fun to think a little bit about it. If we knew we had no limits, and could devote our life to whatever we like. What would we do then?

I think I will start. First of all, I would do everything that I so much like doing, like reading, watching good movie and so on. I would also try to learn new things, new languages, as I like the process of learning. Then, I would try and find a way to help people... do not know how yet, but I would like to be useful to this world... Well, that is what comes to my mind when I think of it.

Cool thread, but I wouldn't want to live forever.

To see my children pass on and their children pass on... not to mention friends passing on... that would be hell on earth for me. Sure, it would be cool to not fear death, ever, but if I don't have to fear death anymore, there'd be nothing to make me want to *live*.

Besides, when I turn 700, I'd be one shriveled up old fella.

Seriously, I would, damn straight I would I would, but only because I hate the idea of missin' stuff happen

...so consequently, at least for the moment anyway, can't much see myself doin' anything different...as a famous spinach smokin' philosophy spoutin' sailor once said, "I yam what I yam, and Walt, that's some mighty fine jam!"

I couldn't bear to bury my children and grandchildren.

That aside, I'm already a relic when it comes to technology. I used to scoff at my grandmother when she couldn't program her VCR. I regret that. I was a child when there were three channels and land lines. Now there are iPhones, iPads, Blue-ray, Bluetooth, and many more gadgets that I couldn't begin to name. I barely get by knowing how to use half the features on my Android phone. I just don't think I could keep up with all the new gadgets.
