After seeing Haven i have to agree...but Roland the younger 20ish version at Jericho. Maybe too young for the rest of the story when he's 30ish 40ish? Mark Harmon however...

Im with jebus5000. Karl Urban would be the best bet. Watch the new movie Priest with him in and as soon as you see him tell me he wouldnt make a perfect Roland Deschain. If not him then Gerard Butler only if he can slim down and lose all the muscle. But thats just my opinion. Also in the movie Priest Karl Urban does resemble a young Clint Eastwood.

Since Roland is modeled after Clint Eastwood and he is too old how bout Hugh Jackman Hes a great action Guy and To me he closley resembles a Young Eastwood Especially when he squints!

while yes I am new here I have been reading and loving this series for years. I have heard a lot of great suggestions for the role of Roland as just wanted to throw out mine and see what people think. So how about Hugh Laurie I think he fits the physical demands and the intensity the role would require.
