I highly recommend it as a first read. This book came out shortly after I graduated High School and was the first King book I ever read.

It really spoke to me and was probably the first time, I realized you could all but fall in love with a book character (Leigh Cabot) I suppose it will always be my favorite King novel, maybe just for sentimental reasons.

Take it from me, Christine is an excellent first book to delve into. It will keep you entertained for a week. I may be biased, though, as I am an ASE-certified Master Auto Technician at my day job. I would like to turn writing into my day job. I'm trying!

I *think* this was the third SK book I read (after 3/4 of The Dead Zone and all of Cujo), but would do nicely for a first time read for any new fan.
