Is this your favorite Stephen King movie?

Shawshank was excellent film, I think the actors knew they had a duty to do justice to the story in the best of their abilities as devoted enthusiasts to the characters and plot. For me The Green Mile was more commercialized and perhaps the larger effort was in filming and production rather than true devotees to the tribute.

Personally, I find Stand By Me was the best but I equally enjoy The Shawshank Redemption and Apt Pupil.

Out of the ones I've seen (and I haven't seen them all), Shawshank is the runaway best.

It's an amazing movie, and Tom Hanks is a superb actor. But personally, I will always prefer the book.

has to be one of my all time faverit movies (in my top 5) i love it, watch it everytime it comes on tv (also own it)

Right now it is my favorite Stephen King movie. If I see it I watch it. It doesn't matter at which point I chance upon it. I watch it. I also happen to love Morgan Freeman's voice. There is great value in a man "a man who knows how to get things" and has a voice like that. I'd have to have him get me things just so I could listen to him talk. If I couldn't watch his magic, I'd at least have the pleasure of knowing it was working.

This will be my favorite movie for quite a long time.
