I am not afraid of old people. As hitting it myself. Monday scares the hell out of me. Another year closer is marked. I was a little shocked at the change from young to old.Way too sudden.

Ooh yeh, this scene scared me for years.
I've nursed/bathed a few old ladies...and some do look frighteningly similar to that lady.![]()
The part that was creepier to me was..When Jack Torrence see's her and begins kissing her.......then the kicker, it shows her true form as he is opening his eyes.... EWWW!! And oh, that laugh. ( more like a cackle)
I'm not afraid of old people, women in or out of bathtubs, or rubber duckies. But I do get creeped out when I am the only one in the house and I take a bath. I definitely get that 4 in the morning, anything is possible feeling.
When I saw the mini series as a child she scared me, however when I rewatched last week I wasn't. I think it's because I've seen so many zombies movies. However it was still found it a little creepy when jack goes to check the room, at first she not there, but she appears and jack runs like hell.
I'm scared of some old people, sure, but most the time i'm enthralled by their experiences.
When I first saw it, I knew what was coming (having read the book) so I wasn't that grossed out. Strangely, however, many of the people in the movie theater giggled when that scene appeared. Nervous laughter? Don't know.
I was/am. My first job was as a maid in a hotel. I was very afraid to pull back shower curtains.![]()
Heck yeah, I'm afraid of old people. They've been around a long time. If they want to get you, they have the requisite experience.
LOL ... Kidding. Old people is just us. That's what fear of old people and decay is, anyway: fear of the unavoidable future. Now ... I am afraid FOR old people. My mom has gotten old. The world seems to me like a more dangerous place for her than it used to be.
