Stranger in a strange land by Iron Maiden makes me think of Roland. Also it's my favourite song by my favourite band and my favourite author.

Not all are exactly heavy metal, but some other songs:
    Pet Sematary by the Ramones
    Who Made Who by AC/DC
Jake and the Gunslinger by Blind Guardian
The Host of Seraphim by Dead Can Dance
Stand By Me by Ben E. King (there's two of them!)
    Gunslinger by John Fogerty
    Dark Tower by Miniature Tigers
    Hurt by Johnny Cash

im surprised no one has mentioned the Demons & Wizards album "touched by the crimson king". The whole album is "based" on the dark tower series. Im pretty sure SK had nothing to do with the album, but its pretty much set to the books like the singer's other band (blind guardian) did for the simarillion. So if u dig metal and dark tower def check em out.
