While The SKMB was closed I would get log on to visit the social groups and I would check the who's online list. What was curious and baffling (to me) was that the board would say, for example, 18 members X Guests. But when I would count the members online there would only be like 14 names. Just a few minutes ago, I looked at the online list and it said there were 35 members but I counted manes and there were only 31 members names before I got to a guest, MS Bot, etc. What does that mean?
My guess is that the "extra" Members are signed on in Invisible Mode so you would not see their names listed but they're included in the totals. I currently see 4 members who are signed on in Invisible Mode. And, yes, I see all the names.....mwahhahaha
How do you make yourself invisable? Why do you make yourself invisable? (I was wondering 'cause we had a "lurker' thread and it was discussed. But there are actual SKMB members who choose to go invisable and the rest of the board wouldn't know they were about?)
Go to Settings (top right next to Log Out). On that page look on the left column under My Settings>My Account>General Settings. At the top of that page are Login and Privacy Settings and if you click Invisible Mode On, you can read and post but no one (except Moderators) know you're logged in. I do it after hours when I want to be able to read posts and/or answer messages without having people know I'm around to ask questions. No offense to anyone--it just allows me to get a little more done that way.
