Yesterday I watched "The Wrestler".
I did not like it. It was without salt.

"Taken" was a good one. Interesting story, tons of action. The one negative I have to mention is that Liam Neeson appeared a bit old for this part.

I watched Labyrinth, District 9, Oliver and Compan and All Dogs Go To Heaven over the weekend.

District 9 was AWESOME.

Labyrinth is still a favorite: "My baby's fun had gone and left my baby blue...nobody knew..."

The Kids movies worked for calming an overstimulated child, high on christmas wrapping paper.

I have to agree that District 9 was amazing! It was a "new" (new to me anyway) spin on the alien theme.

I just watched Paranormal watched Paranormal Activity and it freaked me out. It probably didn't help that I watched the all new Paranormal State and it was about this guy who summoned a Shadow Demon. It scared the bajeepers out of me. I even screamed! I screamed! And I am a huge horror fan, it takes a lot to get a reaction out of me.

Yesterday I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I suddenly got the desire to watch this movie and I even didn't think I would like it so much. But I did like it. Although I got a bit bored somewhere in the middle of the movie, but the end of it impressed me greatly. So, I don't regret that I have watched it, anyway!

I watched Jennifer's Body and thought it was ok. Meagan Fox is not that great of an actress, IMO.

Food, Inc. on the other hand was an excellent movie! I highly recommend it! I will never eat a McDonald's hamburger, EVER again! I rarely at them anyway and this movie motivates me to find out where my food is coming from. Very informative with great information on the small changes we as individuals can do to make a difference!

The Hubby picked up District 9 last week and we watched it on New Year's Eve. We were very impressed! There were things that you'd expect to see in any sci-fi movie but they were used in surprising ways. The documentary-fell really added to the film. And Copley (the lead actor) sold it.

I highly recommend this film. And it's nice to see that it ended up on Uncle Stevie's Best of 2009 list.

Couples Retreat - Has it's moments, but overall not good. Might be worth it if you've got some time to waste. 5/10

Law Abiding Citizen - Great movie up until the ending, sort of like The Knowing for me. I just didn't care much for the ending. 7.5/10

The Final Destination - The worst of the franchise. I love the first 3 movies, but this one really blew. The acting sucked, the dialog was lame, and I never really cared for any of the characters. Still it has some cool deaths and I'm sure it looks better in 3D. 4/10

The Invention of Lying - I personally loved it. Awesome concept, great acting, and hilarious in places. 8.5/10

I saw Ace Ventura nature calls last weekend. That was a great movie. Jim Carrey is so funny in the role as Ace.
