Last movie I saw was Law abiding Citizen...Boy was that awsome!!! Here in Puerto Rico we need someone like that, since they just let some serial rapists go, even when they were caught red handed just because some judge got paid too much...
Oldboy(japan)-absolutely amazing! terrifying!
The Host(also from japan)-the best modern monster movies ive ever seen. the character development and the depth of the plot were so intense!
Old Boy and the host are both Korean films![]()
Miss March. It had its moments. I'm a big fan of the sketchy comedy crew The Whitest Kids You Know, and this was made by two of them, so I'm probably biased. Nothing to write home about, but it made me laugh out loud a few times.
Over the past few days I watched Shawshank Redemption and Insomnia. Both movies have been on my movie "radar" for years, and for some reason I was in the mood for them.
Shawshank was fantastic! Way better than I thought it would be. It had a fantastic, perfect ending too, which I loved. I don't usually enjoy Tim Robbins; I don't know why, but I thought he was flawless in this film. And what can I say about Uncle Morgan? He is a timeless classic...so good.
Insomnia was just so-so. I am a HUGE Pacino fan. HUGE! But the stuff I've seen him in lately is just not good. Insomnia was OK I guess, but Pacino's "tired" act was so ridiculous. He looked more stoned than tired to me. Still a good movie for a one-time viewing though.
I just got through watching the original Blob from 1958 (?). It was a little corny, but I liked it.
I recently got a DVD collection of fifteen "overlooked" horror movies for five dollars. I can't wait to start digging into that one. Some of the titles look pretty wacky (The Undertaker and his Pals, Fangs of the Living Dead), but I can't say that's ever stopped me. I just love B-grade horror!!!![]()
