I watched The Rocker. I like Rainn Wilson (Dwight from The Office) but this movie suuuuuucked. It was like a Jonas Brothers movie, or two hours spent with some cheesy emo band on MTV.

I raided my brother's DVD collection again and finally watched 300 for the first time. I thought it was okay. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.
Perhaps I kept thinking about Meet the Spartans and that made me think less of 300 itself....
I just watched Space Buddies with my daughters. The movie range in this household is very diverse. From cuddly to creepy in a flash. It keeps it interesting.
Fear of the dark. That was a very scary and a good movie.
Transformers - Rise of the fallen.. Too much of the same recycled stunts, forced jokes and bad acting.
It put me off watching movies the rest of the weekend.
Predator.
Adventureland.
This was a cute movie about a kid working the summer at a carnival after graduating college. I think it was advertised wrong--it was depicted as a comedy a la Superbad (it's by the same director), but really, its a coming of age romance with some comedy sprinkled throughout. Two of the stars are very likeable, awkward twenty-somethings. Three stars. It's rated R, but it's not very crude compared to other similarly rated comedies, and features a more mature storyline. Lou Reed is used heavily throughout, and that's always a good thing.
Kristen Stewart is the love interest in this movie, and I gotta admit, I developed a huge crush on her while watching this. I was so disappointed when my friend told me this weekend that she is the star of Twilight. What a shame. In two days that girl made me rediscover that I had a heart, and then she stabbed it with a stake...
How could you Kristen? How could you?![]()
The last movie I watched was Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets. I suddenly found that I enjoyed the stories about Harry. Sure, it was not the first time I watched this movie, but this very time I really enjoyed it!
I saw the new movie Whip It directed by Drew Barrymore and I really liked it. Ellen Page did a wonderful job! It may have helped that there was a huge local crowd of girls from the Sick Town Derby Dames. This little theater that I went to serves beer and wine, so the roller derby girls got a little excited during the movie, which wasn't bad. It made the movie really authentic!![]()
