The Blu-Ray of Jaws. It looks splediferous!!![]()
My wife and I watched The Wrath of the Titans and Intruders on DVD from RedBox. Intruders, which stars Clive Owen, has a very Stephen King-like story to it.
The Expendables 2 - For me it was just kinda so-so.I might be a little old for those types of shows but I always enjoy going to the theaters. There was a couple of cool cameos, though.
Hope Springs- It was pretty good but what can ya say when Meryl Streep is in it? IMO, she's the Stephen King of Hollywood. A real treat to watch such a talented actress.![]()
The first two Evil Dead movies on Blu-ray and then a neat hour and a half documentary about the second movie.
The Lorax - fluorescently coloured hyperactivity which beats you to death with its simplistic message
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days - decent family movie with good group dynamics and its fair share of laughs
Ted - amusing central conceit featuring foul mouthed CGI teddy bear in the Seth Rogen/Owen Wilson role
Step Up 4: Miami Heat (Step Up Revolution in the US) - exuberant dance routines in cliche-driven story
Brave - gorgeous looking but underpowered Pixar offering - sags in the middle
The Bourne Legacy - tolerable action thriller which offers nothing new except a bloke taking superhero tablets
The Expendables 2 - even more ridiculous than before, but entertaining anyway
The Hunger Gamesmoved at a pretty good pace and was exciting but thought the ending could use some improvement.
Lawless -- excellent movie.
I watched one of my all time favorite movies today (recorded it off TCM a couple of days ago). San Francisco (1936) with Clark Gable and Jeanette MacDonald. I am a huge Jeanette MacDonald fan. She had a superb voice.
The Evacuees - old b&w film about Jewish kids being evacuated during the Second World War - a lot of it was set round where I used to live as a kid.
