Yeah, I wouldn't watch it again either. Maybe they took inspiration from Dreamcatcher, but that's as far as I would go. There are few similarities besides some basic archetypes.

Last night I watched Troll 2, considered to be one of the worst movies ever made. I've seen worse movies (The Room comes to mind), but this was wonderfully awful. It also has nothing to do with Troll 1 (there isn't even a single troll in the entire movie), and was only titled this to cash in on the minimal success of Troll 1. If anyone likes really terrible, terrible horror movies, I would recommend this piece of crap.

Reminds me of what they did with Halloween 3- Season of the Witch. That one had absolutely nothing to do with the Halloween franchise. It was about some mad scientist guy who developed some kind of way to turn kids into killing machines after they had viewed a certain commercial on the TV!???????????? Stupid waste of time.

Random DVD borrowed from a family member, ended up being Disney's Around the World in 80 Days with Jackie Chan, and I forget the other guy's name. It was kind of silly, but still pretty entertaining, and I'm interested in watching other, more serious versions maybe if there are any. I might even eventually take on reading the book, though I have to say, classics intimidate me most of the time, sadly I haven't read very many.

Yeah, I think I've seen parts of that one.

Fun bit of trivia...The original Troll film (released in 1986), has a main character named Harry Potter, who befriends a witch and battles golbins, trolls, mythical creatures, etc...They claim JK Rowling ripped them off. I've never actually seen the movie, but I seriously doubt the accusation.

Hereafter - not bad for a chick flick Someone described this as "Clint Eastwood's spiritual chick flick"

It's a little slow until the pieces start to come together but I liked it.

Hmm, of all the terms I would use to describe this movie, chick flick isn't one of them. Guess that just shows how we all view things in different ways.

Good movie, didn't have a clue what it was supposed to be about when I saw it so it had no expectations to live up to. Amazing opening scene!

In honor of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 opening this weekend I'm on my yearly Pirates of the Caribbean film festival. One down and two to go.
