Saw this scifi horror flick called Altered. It's a straight-to-dvd flick, but it was better than I expected.

Made my husband go to Bridesmaids with me this weekend. I laughed so hard I snorted... I heard men in there laughing even harder than I was! My husband described it as "The Hangover" for women. If you want something very lighthearted and sure to make you giggle (even you guys) this is the movie to see.

Last night I watched "Mommie Dearest."

I still have doubts as to whether Joan Crawford was as much of a monster as her daughter Christina claimed, especially since her other two daughters--who conveniently aren't mentioned in the movie--claim to have had an enjoyable childhood. I think it's awful this woman did not have the opportunity to defend herself since the movie was made posthumously.

Either way, I love this movie. Faye Dunaway's portrayal of Crawford is extremely over the top, and camp at times. Okay, it's camp ALL the time, but she acts everybody--apart from "young" Christina--off the screen.

We went to Fast Fave a few weeks ago and it was fantastic! Vin Diesel and The Rock, what more could you want! By far the best in the Fast and Furious series!

Yeh, I watched this with Dawnie (Sknut70) a few months back. I didn't hate it but definitely won't ever watch it again.

The friendships of the guys, and alien subplot reminded me of Dreamcatcher (movie version) and I wouldn't be surprised if the writers had taken some inspiration from that.

Monty Python's And Now For Something Completely Different - This was the first of the Python movies, but this is really just a "best of" Flying Circus. Says so on the DVD case. Although there are a few skits that I thought could have been put in the movie instead of others. I think The Meaning of Life (just my opinion ) is a much better skit movie, but ANFSCD is pretty good. The Dead Parrot and the Dirty Fork are two of my favorite Python skits and I'm glad they are in the movie.

My dad laughed, but mom didn't think it was funny at all. She thought it was stupid. Oh, well.

My Cousin Vinny - funny movie. Joe Pesci may make fun of grits in this movie, but that is a forgivable sin. Marisa Tomei gives a great performance although I'm not sure I would call it Oscar-worthy. And Fred Gwynne is great as the judge.

    Insidious - James Wan
A subpar Poltergeist wannabe. Too much is shown and the ending was obvious.

Insidious was rubbish, i saw it. It looked like they had taken old props from star wars and darth maurs face. It was incredibly stupid and so not scary.

This movie has some of the most unforgettable lines in it: 'No more wire hangers EVER!!' 'Christina, why must it always be a contest with you????' This movie was made by a first time director, if I'm remembering right, and it shows. It derailed Faye Dunaways career for quite a few years too as she was so over-the-top in it (director's fault, not the actress'). I won't say I love this movie, but if it's on TV I have to stop what I'm doing and watch it. Maybe Crawford wasn't such a horrible mother as portrayed in the book and movie, but you might want to check out just exactly why she had such an aversion to those pesky wire hangers....... and it might change your mind some.
