My favorite would have to be The Moving Finger. The idea in itself is really creepy.
I'm currently reading "Last Night in Twisted River." This is the first novel by John Irving where I haven't seen the movie first.
I have always been a huge fan of the paperback. With a hardcover it just seems too big and blocky of a thing. It's hard to explain, really. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I can...
Happy very bleated Birthday, Mr. King. Hope you had a good one.
I honestly don't have many Stephen King books left to read. I have, "The Talisman, Black House, The Shining, The Tommyknockers, 11/22/63, Wind Through the Keyhole, Dark Tower 2-7, The Colorado Kid,...
I have Bag of Bones to still read, Full Dark, No Stars, Black House, The Talisman, The Eyes of The Dragon, Thinner, Roadwork, Rage, The Running Man, 11/22/63(but I want to read that when it comes out...
I'd have to say Creepshow. I just love the whole reference to "Tales From The Crypt".
I enjoyed "A Prayer For Owen Meany" very much, to let you know finally. It was a very satisfying novel to read. By the end it was almost like I expected it to continue. I also recommend it.
I loved the ending to Pet Sematary. It leaves you out in the open to let your imagination take its path. What you don't know is scary. It had a great build up to a great ending. Really good book.
Some things are creepier when you don't know, I beleive. Maybe everything that is intended to scare you.
I recently got the paperback edition of Full Dark, No Stars as an early birthday gift. I'm looking forward to reading it after I finish reading Dreamcatcher.
Mile 81 sounds like a cool story idea. I've been waiting for a new Stephen King horror story for awhile now.
I couldn't agree anymore. "Bram Stoker's Dracula's" theme alone terrified me as a kid. Also the David Lynch movies music, except maybe Lost Highway. He filled that with contemporary music. ...
I liked the movie very much. I'm going to read that after "A Prayer For Owen Meany", and I'm going to separate the movie from the book as best as possible.
The last movie I watched was "Wonder Boys". Really good movie.
I watched "Pet Sematary" yesterday. Still love it.
Crouch End for sure. Creepy. Coincidentally, that's the story I'm at in "Nightmares and Dreamscapes".
I watched Carrie two days ago. Did you know that Sissy Spacek was nominated for Best Actress for playing Carrie?
Watched the first half of "It" last night. Going to watch second half today. I have the movie on VHS. I don't really care that the quality of the movie isn't as good as blue-ray or even simply...
I watched "Insomnia" with Al Pacino and Robin Williams two days ago. It's an alright movie. I'm reading "Insomnia"" by Stephen King and am wondering if they'll make a movie out of the book. So far...
The movie was boring to me. It felt waaaaay too long. The short story on the other hand was great writing by Stephen King. With a story like 1408, it's better off short than some nonsensical...
The movie ending didn't bother me at all. It is scientfically impossible for Tad to have lived in the movie, but nobody wants to see a little boy die after practically watching him suffer for an...
Top five favs:
1. IT
2. Pet Sematary
3. Under The Dome
4. The Stand
5. Desperation
Least fav five:
1. Lisey's Story
2. Rose Madder
I liked both. Both the movie and the novel were pretty much the same, the novel did get deeper about the story of Christine, but what novel doesn't have more detail than the book? I say,...
