I usually recommend his earlier works, like The Stand, Pet Semetary, Salems Lot, and The Shining.

Every rape survivor deals with it differently. There is no right or wrong way. I dealt with mine the best I knew how.

I had a hard time reading it because of the content. I think most of us women did, espesially if we lived it. But it is a great story, and I do recommend finishing it.
